September Reading Challenge

I'm taking on a Reading Challenge in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm taking on my own reading challenge and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

Thank you!

It was nice to chill out with a book after work today. At a point now where parts of it are reminding me of "How To Get To Heaven From Belfast" - very good TV show available to view on Netflix!

Book: Slags by Emma Jane Unsworth
Read for: 30 mins

While the mince for our spag bol was cooking in stock, I read another chapter of this book - the POV switch is a lil bit odd every other chapter where they talk about themselves as students in first person, but their Scottish roadtrip in third 🤔 intrigued to see how it all connects by the end.

Wednesday 2nd Sep
Book: Slags by Emma Jane Unsworth

Fave funny/weird moment from this book so far - one sister wrapped the other in foil to help her get "a better wifi connection" - foil-wrapped sister realised she was taking the mick and proceeded to chase her around the lake 😂

Tuesday 1st September

Tuesday 1st Sep
Book: Slags by Emma Jane Unsworth /// Read for: 30 minutes /// Pages read: 19 /// Busy day today, so read a little bit before work! You'll see across this month that I have become fond of a wacky choice of book - this one reminds me of the play/TV show 'Fleabag'!

The Beginning ✍️

Tuesday 1st Sep
I'm taking part in the September Reading Challenge, alongside 5 others from the Between The Covers Book Club, to support Teenage Cancer Trust.

My goal this month:
- To read for a minimum of 30 minutes every day 📚

I'll be posting updates across the month on both Facebook, Instagram & on here too!

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing specialised nursing care and expert youth support for young people with cancer.

Your donations, however big or small, will all contribute to ensuring that no young person faces cancer alone ❤️

We'd be grateful for your support, even if it's simply sharing our pages 😊
