September Reading Challenge

I'm taking on a Read-a-thon in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm taking on my own Read-a-thon challenge and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

Thank you!

My Updates

End of Challenge

Wednesday 30th Sep
I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated, brought a blind book or just supported me on general. I managed to complete all my challenges and read a total of 29 books this month. It has been a really amazing experience and has shown me the good in the world. So thank you again.

Week Three

Monday 21st Sep
So week three is now complete and I have finished 21/25 books. I held another blind date with a book sale yesterday and made another £92 so that's been amazing. I will be holding one final sale on Sunday and then posting my final results when the month ends next week. Again thank you to everyone for their continued support.

Week Two

Monday 14th Sep
So I have completed week two and also completed two nor challenges. I have now read over 2000 pages and read all books written by Rachel Reid. I have finished 12 books so far so have 13 left to complete all my challenges. Despite the weather and having to leave the car boot early yesterday I managed to make £32 so I have now made £135 from my Blind Date with a Book sales. Again thank you for everyone's continued support. It means a lot

Week one

Monday 7th Sep
One week down and I have completed my first challenge of reading 5 new books. I have just finished the 5 book in the game changers series by Rachel Reid and can honestly say I'm loving them and now cannot wait for season 2 of heated rivalry. I also held my first blind date with a book sale yesterday and made just over £100 with another booked in for Sunday. I will be depositing all the money at the end of the month. Thank you for everyone's support

Day one

Tuesday 1st Sep
Today marks the start of my read a thon. I am starting with Game Changer by Rachel Reid. I will post weekly updates on my progress. I will also be holding a blind date with a book sale at Kessingland car boot sale in Suffolk on Sunday with all proceeds going to this event. Come on down and buy a book.

Challenges

Thursday 6th Aug
After some consideration I have chosen to set myself 4 targets.
1. Read 2000 pages
2. Read 25 books
3. Complete one authors entire collection (this will include and collaborations with other authors)
4. Read 5 new books
I have set these as I already Read a lot as it is so I wanted to make sure my goals were a challenge but still achievable. I will update on here and on Facebook as I go along with books and pages completed. As well as if they are a new Read or a re-read. Thank you again for any support
