I'm taking on a Reading Challenge in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm taking on my own reading challenge and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge of reading for an hour a day every day of September, for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.


Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

My hour today is complete! I needed something easy today so I stopped the book I was reading and started reading the fourth book of a series I paused on a couple of months ago.

My hour for today done! I needed a break from fiction so I’m trying out this book about the language of cults.

Wednesday 16th Sep
Today I started a new book Wings of Starlight by Alison Saft! I’m 34% through and I’m loving the Disney fairies. I also finished an audiobook today (which I didn’t track), incidents around the house.

Tuesday 15th Sep
Half way through the month! And a lot of extra time today meant I got over 2 hours of reading in today! I finished Ninth House and loved it.

Made it to 56% of my book! I’m still very confused but enjoying how the plot is unraveling lol

My hour for today complete. I’m loving this book so far! I’m only 36% in and very confused but I’m excited to unravel the mystery!

A new book started today! I read for an hour and seven minutes and got to 16% of Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.

Friday 11th Sep
I read for another hour today and managed to finish Splasher. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with this book but that’s now 3 books started and completed this month!

Another day another hour! Managed to read around 100 pages and I’m now 60% into Splasher.

Wednesday 9th Sep
I have completed my hour for the day and started a new book. I needed a break from YA fantasy so I’ve chosen Splasher by Billie Host. I’ve made it 100 pages in and I’m excited to see where the book goes!

Tuesday 8th Sep
Today I read for an hour and ten minutes. I have now finished Storm Breaker and I’m looking forward to choosing a new read for tomorrow

My hour today complete! Managed to read 137 pages and I’m now 74% into my book.

Today I managed to read for just over an hour and am now 38% into Storm Breaker!

Today was split into two sessions, one before work and one after. I finished Shadow Reaper and have moved on to Storm Breaker by Nisha J Tuli.

Today my hour was split into two sessions one of them being in a Costa. I’ve made it to 80% of my book and I’m excited to finish it!
