I'm taking on a Reading Challenge in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm taking on my own reading challenge and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

I’m challenging myself to read these 2 books in September. Whilst I’m on ongoing cancer meds I am struggling with fatigue and do find concentrating on a book difficult, but I’m determined.

Why?

I’m taking on this challenge as I cannot imagine going through a cancer diagnosis or treatment whilst being a teenager. 

After spending most of last year having cancer treatment and still being on meds now, I can confirm it’s hard work and you miss out on a lot of fun things. If I can manage to get through 1 book this month with my fatigue I will be so happy. 
 
Teenagers should be footloose and fancy free. They shouldn’t be missing out on normal teenage things (education, hanging out with friends, first concerts, etc). They definitely shouldn’t be having to worry about fertility, body changes, life long impact of treatment and questioning mortality.
