8 Books. 1 Month. F*ck Cancer. 📚💜

This September, I'm taking on the Teenage Cancer Trust Reading Challenge and setting myself the goal of reading 8 books in 30 days to raise money for a charity that I really believe deserves all the support it can get.

Cancer is something that has touched my own life. I've experienced the loss of a parent to cancer, so I know personally how devastating it can be to lose someone you love.

But I also know that my experience isn't the same as that of a young person fighting cancer, or a parent having to watch their child go through it. I can't pretend to understand that particular kind of fear, pain or uncertainty.

What I do know is that young people deserve the chance to be young people.

They deserve to make memories. To have adventures. To fall in love. To make questionable decisions. To laugh until their stomach hurts. To make plans for their future. To chase their dreams and see everything this world has to offer.

Cancer shouldn't get to take those things away from them.

That's why, in my own small way, I'm saying f*ck you to cancer and taking on a challenge that is hopefully going to do some good.

Throughout September, I'll be reading 8 books, sharing my progress and hopefully raising some money for Teenage Cancer Trust along the way.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can help support young people with cancer and give them opportunities to live their lives alongside their treatment.
