September Reading Challenge

I'm taking on a Reading Challenge in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm taking on my own reading challenge and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.

This year, my best reading month saw me finishing 15 books (it was August and it was the summer holidays) so I have set myself the challenge of beating this in September to raise money for this incredible cause!

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

Working with teenagers has been an incredible part of my life and unfortunately I have had students who have been directly impacted my cancer, so I know how crucial it is to help keep funding the support that they need.

SEPTEMBER CHARITY READING CHALLENGE 📚 📖

Saturday 29th Aug
This September, I have signed up to the reading challenge to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust! As I love reading and find it easy, this isn’t much of a challenge, so to up the stakes and make it feel worthwhile sponsoring me, I am going to read more books this month than any previous month this year.

In August, while off work for the summer, I finished 15 books - in September to raise this charity money, I want to beat that. September is a crazy month in our house: I go back to work as a teacher, we have multiple birthdays (including my own) and this year I even have a friend getting married. All of this means I will need to utilise every spare minute that I can if I want to achieve this goal - but I am determined! 📚 ♥️

I have worked closely with teenagers in secondary schools for 12 years and have supported students through life-changing illnesses and recovery, cancer being one of them. I have seen first-hand the impact that cancer can have on the lives of young people and I am so excited to hopefully raise some money for this much needed support network. ♥️

The link to donate is in my bio but if you cannot afford to donate right now, I completely understand and would just be grateful for the interactions to help this post reach as many people as possible. I will be giving frequent updates throughout the month of September so please do follow along to see how it goes.

Thank you in advance for any support you give!
Let’s raise some money! 🫶🏻
