Booking Bonkers Book Club

This September, we’re taking on a Reading Challenge to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust and help ensure that no young person faces cancer alone.

The Booking Bonkers Book Club has stepped up to try and do our little bit. Our challenge is to read 25 books throughout September — and anything more will be an added bonus! 📚❤️

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support specifically for young people with cancer. The work they do can make such a difference during what must be one of the most frightening and difficult times in a young person’s life.

This charity holds a very special place in my heart and my family’s. In 2007, my cousin Alexandra sadly lost her battle with cancer at just 17 years old. While I’m not sure whether Teenage Cancer Trust was involved in Alex’s care, I know how important specialist support can be for young people and their families facing something so devastating. That’s why supporting this charity feels incredibly meaningful to us.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator, helping a young person cope with the anxiety and isolation that cancer treatment can bring.

We know reading 25 books might seem like a small challenge compared with what young people with cancer face every day, but we’re hoping that by doing something we love, we can raise money to help make a real difference.
