I'm doing 3,000 Push Ups in June for Teenage Cancer Trust
This June, I'm doing 3,000 Push Ups and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.
Thank you!

Day 2
Tuesday 2nd Jun I completed my first 100 on day 1, woo hoo! However, on my last few sets of the days I began to get some pain in my shoulder joint, in particular my right. Of course I was expecting muscle soreness especially cause I haven't done pushups regularly for a long time. However pain in the joint is concerning and could lead to injury. So after doing some research and watching my videos back I realised I havent been doing them correctly. My elbows were pointed out the way and not tucked in like they should. The following morning I still had a lot of pain in my shoulder. I tried my first set in the correct way but I couldn't even get through 4 before the pain was too much. So I decided to try doing some from the knees. This way I could keep going with the challenge and not risk injuring myself. I'm taking today a bit easier to help me recover. Hopefully I can catch up in the coming weeks but I'll just take it day by day. As long as I continue to challenge myself, I'm happy.
