I'm taking part in the Christmas Dip Challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust

This December, I'm doing cold water dips and raising funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. I'd be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £25 could pay for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help a young person cope with anxiety and isolation during cancer treatment.

The Christmas Dip Challenge

Hello! I have decided to jump in the freezing sea a few times this winter to raise a bit of money for teenagers battling cancer. As a 3rd year student nurse, I have been working on a day case outpatients unit in Derriford for people with life threatening Haematological conditions, some including blood cancers.

As you can imagine, this has highlighted to me this challenging area of peoples lives and the reality that many have to face at such young ages. With the Teenage Cancer Trust, there are support networks that aim to provide these young lives with a sense of compassion and hope in potentially the darkest times of their lives. 

If jumping in a bit of cold water can in any way support these amazing people then that’s exactly what I’ll do and I would love some support if you’re able and willing! This could be either joining me for a cold dip, or financially supporting if you can!
