I'm walking 60 miles with my dog in September for Teenage Cancer Trust

This September, I'm walking 60 Miles with my dog called Cricket and raising funds to support 'Teenage Cancer Charity'.
“As I grew older it seemed that I was not making a big enough difference, particularly given my own incredibly good fortune. I went from feeling content that things were going well, to realizing that I had not even begun to scratch the surface of what needed to be done.”
I have never had to face cancer myself, however I have met and know people, some of them are remarkably close to my heart, who have had to face this uniquely difficult milestone in their life. It is hard to smile aloud knowing that someone you love or care for is crying in silence, therefore I wanted to find a way to show my support and help those affected by cancer. I would like to dedicate this effort to a special friend and her beautiful family, as on the 6th of January 2025 their world was turned upside down and they found out that their lovely son was diagnosed with a tumour in his brain. Also, to my lovely “leash crew ladies", who are very special to me! They have beaten their cancer, thanks mainly to early detection, and supportive care, and last but not least, to my beautiful nan…. she passed away from cancer on the 29th of July 2014. Your spirit will always be a part of my journey.
I have decided to support Teenage Cancer Trust, as it is the only UK charity who provides specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. Your donation, big or small, will make a massive difference. As little as £25 could go a long way and pay for an hour with a counsellor to help someone deal with their anxiety and isolation, and the fear of losing control over their life. I hope this small gesture is a first step to something much bigger. It's not all about the destination, it's the journey. Thank you so much to all who took the time to read this and will support this generous cause.
I will post photos throughout my challenge so please check the site from time to time.
My dog Cricket is a ten and half year old greyhound, and he is looking forward to achieving this target with me!
Thank you to all of you. xoxox
